The problem
No prior business record, no collateral, and a project cost estimate assembled from dealer conversations rather than quotations. The first draft would not have survived the district committee.
What we did
- Right-sized the project within the manufacturing ceiling instead of stretching towards it
- Rebuilt the cost of project on formal quotations and a realistic civil estimate
- Confirmed category and area classification before claiming the subsidy rate
- Coordinated the EDP training requirement early so it did not hold up disbursement
Outcome
Sanctioned with margin money subsidy at the applicable rate. The unit began commercial production the following quarter and now supplies three regional FMCG packers.
“I did not know what a project report was supposed to contain. I knew my machines and my market. They turned that into something a bank could read.”
